OK here are a sequence of pics showing the refitting of the new window winder mech. Not the most exciting subject, but might be useful to someone. The most difficult bit was getting the old mech. out and the new in without bending the control cables too much...
Unplug the wires...
Unbolt the three motor mounting nuts...
Unbolt the lower slide bolt...
Unbolt the upper slide bolt...
Ease out the motor (take care the studs don't scratch the paint inside the door - don't want it to rust...
This is the slider that moves the glass...
There is a post that fits through a hole in the glass, held on with this clip, quite hard to push off, but can be done by hand, if you've got a strong thumb...
Slightly blurry view of the clip on the inside of the door....
This is the new clip going on...
This is the new motor bolted loosely in place. Note the new wires soldered on and joins covered with heat shrink. I put some insulation tape on the metal where the wires might rub too as the cable with heat shrink, plus insulation tape was very stiff and could rub on the panel cut-out...
This is the strange egg-box assembly going back in place, I guess this gives some protection to the door lock mechanism to prevent actuating by coathangers etc....
And offering up...(don't forget the screws (like I did!) )!!!...
Speaker location....
Speaker fitted...
Speaker cover clips in place...
Electric mirror control knob pops back on...
Corner trim piece locates in two 'sockets'...careful not to bend these pegs when removing...
So that's it! If you found this useful, or have questions, add a comment. Thanks.
