Scrollbars not working
Why are colured scrollbars not working on the main blog but ok on the preview?
OK Fixed now at 23:02 by tinkering with the DOCTYPE definition at the top and by looking for spare spaces etc. in the styles. Of course by breaking the cardinal rule of 'only change one thing at once' I don't really know what's fixed it, but its fixed :D

Intelligence Poor :: Or they just said what they thought their masters wanted to hear
BBC NEWS | Politics | The failures of intelligence
Will WMD ever be found, did T Blair really think S Hussein had bucketloads of WMD on 45 min readiness?
The trouble is that you can't confirm or deny intel sources otherwise they may get compromised themselves so its probably better in the long run for the Intel to look a bit stupid and continue to get useful info. If this was left to the UK police force, then from past experience, they would probably march up to their source's front door and say 'it was him , he was the guy informing on the bad guys, but he got it wrong'. Hopefully the intel people will continue to play things close to their chests.
Alternatively they haven't got a clue and all our taxpayer's money for satellites, spyplanes, GCHQ, phonetapping etc., etc. has all been a waste of time.

RantBlog :: What everyone often thinks but dares not say...
Ranting.
As the man sez, this is an excellent use of the blog medium. Maybe a bit too crude and extreme for some maiden aunts, but its what you've always wanted to say - when you're pissed-off anyway.

Bob Marley Question Part 1
Jahworks Book Reviews | coffee table bob marley
A question asked by a work colleague has inspired a search to find out the meaning - if any - behind the title and lyrics of Bob Marley's 'I shot the sheriff'. this first article suggests it may be a result of Bob's relationship with friend, 'herb' finder and part time band member - Lee Jaffe who was white and may thus be representative of 'babylon'/authority/imposed (white/colonial) law and order ie the aforementioned sheriff?.

Tinkering
Have tidied the blog lists into one powered by Blogrolling
Messing with styles to tweak format - need to look at some examples I think
Lookin at Site Meter for more reader stats.
Also managed to get a scrolly thing for the posts so the page doesn't whizz off down the screen. Not sure how that effects readability, but will see - looks crap really :(

Jay read one of my blog posts and was the first ever to post a comment. He (I think Jay's a bloke?!?) hasn't got comments so I thought I'd write a blog on his site. At first you think its done by a little kid, but then you realise if it is a kid then its a very clever kid 'cos its a well done blog with pictures too. Then you see that Jay is an office manager and there are some pictures of people, one of whom is very likely to be Jay so anyway, I like the sense of humour. Favourites are the real pics of the frozen meals and the cat lady at the plant nursery. Its addictive this blogging, reading others' more so than doing your own.

Moorside High School the full report :: not good - contrary to the adverts in the press
Ofsted Inspectors' Report for Moorside High School Swinton Salford.
Interesting that a school where the inspector's report starts with the line 'The school is unsatisfactory and does not give value for money.' can take out a two page advert in the local press saying how well the school did in the the inspection? The report goes on to use the word 'unsatisfactory' 129 times as well as several 'not satisfactory' and other negative adjectives. The report basically states that were it not for the positive influence of its new headteacher, the school would be categorised as a failing school. Kind of a last chance guys!

After a man flew from Washington DC to London with quote 'five bullets' by which I assume they mean five rounds of ammunition, one wonders how many more draconian changes to the law will occur before governments realise that its not tighter laws that we require its just proper application of the ones we've already got. This adds to the long catalogue of errors including Hungerford, Soham, Victoria Climbie, and Shipman where dutiful application of existing rules, regulations and procedures may well have prevented the terrible events.

BBC NEWS | England | Manchester | Porn shots found on new camera
Queues now forming outside this Branch of Argos filled with people demanding their extra 'graphics package' ;) - is this Regent Road, the branch where the assistant genuinely believed that the empty box that used to contain the display model still contained all the requisite components of a surround sound system (a couple of stands and a few wires!) and would have let me take it away if I hadn't checked - or could it be Ancoats? Regents Road methinks and would they even know one end of a digital camera from another, could they work out how to load pictures onto the cam? Interesting to see if the files have some sort of 'source computer' or 'created by' tag?

The Manchester Flyers website :: Powerkites, buggies, boards :: Feel the Power
Welcome to the Manchester flyers website. Have a nice stay!
This is the Manchester Flyers website, created by Ash, son of Carl. Mancheter Flyers are anyone in Manchester who is into kiteing, para-karting (kite buggying), boarding or just static flying. Lots of power-kite crazy guys and a few girls too, but they won't laugh if you want to fly a single line job or a stunt kite either. They might show off a lot and offer you a go on their ridiculously powerful kites. Be warned, you might get hooked on power!
Not findeable on Google yet, but hopefully will be soon if enough peops link to it. Maybe needs a few meta tags, but we'll get round to it I'm sure!
