Not that I'm looking for more things to do, but this sort of 'holiday' might be quite interesting. Trouble is how do you balance ~?1500 with a couple of weeks in Lanzarote for ?400 ? (& some new kites!!)
Its a mixed bag! Sort of a public favourites page with comments, stuff and links on kite, buggies, gardening, chainsaw carving, allotments and general political issues that everyone should be getting upset about. Has been called NO LO GO, then NO LOG (0) - latest name seems to fit quite well we bring you the ELECTRIC STUFF SACK !!!

Some reading material - including how to do an upwind turn - am I ready for this? Buggying last weekend at Blackrock Sands was sooo good. 40-60 mph winds on Saturday meant overpowered with my 6' flexi stacker (Huge Grin Ensues)

An interesting bloggie, possibly could do with a ''This website can seriously damage your wallet'' warning. Oh and the writing is a bit small for my ageing mince pies. YYY I know I can click on View>Text Size>Larger, but why should I have to - dammit! ;)

Well, it was nice to see Democracy hold its calm dignified head above the trickle (it can't be called a sea - and by no means does this detract from the significance of each one those killed or injured) of terror launched at it yet again. Deepest sympathy with those affected and involved.
I note that only bits of the wonderful company I work for observed the 3 minute silence yesterday. Well heigh ho! Thats the sort of caring place it is - Building a safer world my ****!

GM Firms must pay for environmental damage
Times Online - Britain
Quite right IMO. Why should any organisation, individual or whatever be able to do anything, especially for commercial gain, and not be held responsible for their actions. I see no offer to share profits, so why should they share the risk?

Cool blog on the legal issues surrounding the SCO claim on certain bits of Linux. I don't pretend to understand eve half of it, but its good to see blogs reporting on important things rather than this sort of blather.

Apparently this blog is:
a marker pen that detects explosives and mows your lawn.
Nice site - need to add to perm links

An excellent (American) English Grammar Tutorial
University of Calgary English Grammar Tutorial
This is a really useful tutorial and reference for those of us with a less than complete formal education in the intricacies of English Grammar. Not necessarily the sort of thing one needs to know on an every day basis, but incredibly useful:
a) if you either need to check up, for example, what a Gerund is.
or
b) you are studying a foreign language with a more structured grammar and you teacher starts talking about 'the infinitive form' of a verb and you find you don't even know what that is in English let alone in Spanish (or whatever).
