An excellent (American) English Grammar Tutorial

University of Calgary English Grammar Tutorial

This is a really useful tutorial and reference for those of us with a less than complete formal education in the intricacies of English Grammar. Not necessarily the sort of thing one needs to know on an every day basis, but incredibly useful:

a) if you either need to check up, for example, what a Gerund is.

or

b) you are studying a foreign language with a more structured grammar and you teacher starts talking about 'the infinitive form' of a verb and you find you don't even know what that is in English let alone in Spanish (or whatever).

Have finally looked at this and tried an entry or two. For someone who likes wordy things this could become addictive :o

www.buggywielen.nl - Professional Buggy Wheels

www.buggywielen.nl - Professional Buggy Wheels

Looks like a good site for wheels, need to check translation etc. but as prices are in euros don't look too bad

Wheelbarrow Spares

A possible source of spare kite buggy wheels, but only have 16" x 4" which is standard size for £35

If there's a place like this in UK it might be good for wheels & stuff - either that or work out the US to metric conversions and get them from here??

Dave Chappelle :: A Comic Who Won't Hold Back

Now will we get to see this in the UK? - (Free) Sub Required to view link

Would be interesting to see this guy...Is he just another Eddie M, or something different a black Fast Dhow, or Little Britain, or an american equivalent to Goodness Gracious Me? or Ali G

Nothing is out of bounds for Dave Chappelle and his popular
series, "Chappelle's Show," and he has no plans to curb his
enthusiasm this season.

Technorati: What Is technorati?

Technorati: What Is technorati?

One thing about this blog business is you don't really know if anyone's reading this drivel. Then you put a counter on and realise that, intentionally or not, some one has read some of it. Then the counter starts to creep up and you realise that more poor mugs have tripped into your little bit of webspace. And its not just you coming back to check that the latest tweak to the CSS stylesheet has worked, tho that's the difference between the Bravenet counter and the Sitemeter one - sitemeter doesn't count my return visits. Anyway then you spot a referral from Technorati and wonder what's going on and you realise that some people have thousands of visitors - scary

Spanish proverbs - Wikiquote

Spanish proverbs - Wikiquote

My favourite of these interesting Spanish Sayings or Proverbs is:

¿Quién movió mi queso?
Translation: Who moved my cheese?

Now does anyone know when you'd actually use this saying? I'm guessing its not literally when someone's pinched your queso?

CD and DVD one page care guide

CD / DVD Care Guide (pdf file)

A good, quick guide for looking after your valuable backups.

Interesting to note, at the other end of the scale, ie how to deliberately destroy CDs. Have noticed that the CDs I hung up last summer as bird scarers over the vegetable plot (AOL has some uses cheers for the free disks guys) are now completely blank - the silver coating and most of the ink etc. seems to have come away leaving a transparent plastic disk. Don't know whether anyone would be able to retrieve data from these unless the burning process leaves some marks in the plastic too - but it seems a pretty good way of ensuring the data is erased :p

New Book Blog on the way :: Electric Book Blog

Just setting up a second blog to keep track of books I have read. As I seem to be suffering more and more from early old age :p and finding it harder to remember things, this may help me when looking at a new book and wondering 'have I read this before?'
